We put an SA server in each DMZ with SMTP access through the firewall... I suppose you could open the appropriate ports on a point-to-point basis, from the inside network (where you SA server is now) through the firewall and to the servers in there, but that might open up way too many security

I have a similar requirement however I bring up a site like this on a daily basis with maybe 8 dependent checks. I never got a satisfactory answer on this list.   I basically created my own system to create the hosts file from scratch by quering a database of sites and checks I'd like done.
