If MRTG can do it, then SA too.
MRTG does SNMP gets to get values from the remote system, SA's SNMP test can
do the same. You "just" have to know the OIDs to use.

I do use MRTG. MRTG uses SNMP to get statistics. I would think if you
have a way to log Salive results you may be able to use the SNMP inside
SA. I do not currently use SA to do any SNMP stuff.

Has anyone monitored the wan connection status?
You will probably have to look at the traffic statistics on the
router/switch/firewall level.
Doing a download speed test is likely not the best way, if someone is
downloading a huge file (or otherwise using a lot of bandwidth) this is going
to skew the speed test and not give you an accura

Has anyone monitored the wan connection status? We’ve been having
problems with our banded T1s and not getting the level of service that our
provider has promised. The only way I know how to do this is use one of the
speed tests on the web. I’d like to monitor it on a consistent basis if

I dunno if i’m saying something wrong, but PRTG allows you to monitor up
to 3 SNMP sensors freely (both personal and comercialy), up to that you need to
register the software. Has nothing to do with RDDTool though.

Anyone know of a Windows GUI front end for RRDTool? Don't say Cacti - it seems
to need MySQL and various other bits n pieces (if I read the website
correctly). I don't want a full monitoring tool (I have SA!) - just something
that will let me create RRDTool DBs and graphs without an advanced de
