shit - sorry everyone. I've been getting this flung at me for weeks and
having to delete it all the time. Never figured it was me dishing it out!
Anybody know a decent virus killer?

yup - infact with MAME you can play the original arcade game! crazy!
This whole argument was ALMOST relevant about five years ago when things in
the SAM scene were still going, but even the biggest optimist would have to
admit that the thing is dead dead dead now. Maybe Colin Piggot makes a few

He's supposed to be on this list, so I'm sure he'll chirp up eventually.
So - just download the spectrum version and run it on sam... theres bugger

The only reason you're getting animated is because it's stupid. You can
download Robot Monsters for the spectrum (and a few others I'll wager) for
nothing, but when you try to do the same for the SAM version you're told
you'll have to pay!
And when you try to contact Gav, the website www.samco
I appreciate that you said Gav could do something with the games you have a
hold over, but as you rightly say that was one year ago.
Time for a rethink maybe?
(why am I getting so animated about all this - I don't even CARE about the
SAM anymore!)

Let's hope so. I would love to play them, if only for the sake of nostalgia.
I didn't know about the bug in Robot Monsters though...

Oh? What do they do when you boot from them? Are you booting them from
a freshly reset SAM? The SDF image files you're using should have a
size of exactly 983040
When Sam Community (if?) sorts itself out - there are some titles which belong
to Persona you can purchase the money from which will be going to Charity.
After recently downloading the excellent SIM Coupe emulator, I was
dissapointed to discover the lack of actual games to download. My SAM is
gathering dust in the attic at the moment, and I still don't know where my
original games are hiding after many hours of searching. Therefore, I am
