a strange problem occurs in samba 3.0.8 (Debian 3.0.8-2 package):
When a Domain-User tries to log off (WinXP SP2), the workstation fails
to store the profile in the PROFILE-Path.
The message cannot store \\SERVER\Profiles\Administrator\Recent pops up.
But this is only the half truth.

I might also suggest /tmp is not the best place to point netlogon at.

You need to pull the Debian 3.0.9 package from samba.org and update. There
was a problem copying files to servers in 3.0.8 which was quickly resolved in
3.0.9.

use is basically very simple: a W 98 box should be able to access some
disk-shares and a printed, connected to a Linux box, running Debian's sarge

The samba server is able to get a ticket from the KDC, and access a
samba share on a windows client using Kerberos for authentication

I think if you don't provide the username it takes the local user. Try
smbclient with the -u flag.
The addprinter command (would have helped if I mentioned that, huh?). I
find I am constantly fighting the dreaded Access Denied Errors. The
script I have that worked previously in a source install environment
just took the parameters from the APW and stuffed them into lpadmin. It

1. try without ssl (tls)
2. the ldap structure must match the structure defined in smb.conf
