Hey Tracey
I know you had inquired about the Roku and someone else had mentioned that
Netflix content would soon be available via the Xbox360. It looks like Samsung
and LG now offer Blu-ray DVD players that can play streaming content from
Netflix as well. I may go this route when I upgrade my
I had this sad news through another of my groups this morning. Let me be the
first to thank Mr Tennant for his great work, and the first to pose the
question, Who replaces him?

Tracey, I can't find a single person who watches SF on TV who'll admit to
viewing Sanctuary.

I've actually watched every episode. I'm gonna give it a couple of more shots
and then I'm done. I know I'm a tard. I know it's bad. I keep going back
anyway. Apparently, being TV absent for a decade plus makes you uberdumb.

I like the concept and characters but the execution falls short.

His last show will probably be the most watched episode in the
history of science fiction. If he's not leaving to be the new Q in
the James Bond movies, I don't know what would possess him to leave.

I do not like Primeval. I tried to watch an episode once and turned

I'm not a dinosaurs kinda guy. I didn't like Jurassic Park, really.

You might want to give it another shot. The dino episodes aren't my
fave either (although I love them) but the overall plot and the
future stuff is what hooked me.

I just received some literature this week, indicating that it might soon be

I think its just that he's had enough of being The Doctor and
would like to do other things, like theater and so forth.
I like that he wants to end on a high note instead of beating
the role to death. It seems a lot easier to escape typecasting
over the pond. I've seen actors take on so many
The actor they were discussing is Adrian Lester. Adrian Lester as the
Doctor would be incredible. And, quite possible.

Yeah the roll out is always piecemeal apparently. They tend to concentrate on
the areas that already have fiberoptic lines and then spread out from there. I
don't know what kind of pipe is in your area. If you've got fiberoptic lines
already buried, you're more likely to get service sooner.
Good stuff. Glad to hear that Nolan is resisting the automatic pull to do a
third movie. I'd *love* to see how the Batman's plight at the end of The Dark

I was listening to a podcast of a show called "Slice of SciFi" the other day. A listener sent in a long voicemail review of the series "Voyager", and how it was lacking in some ways. Most of his points were good, but right in the middle of it he said "Tuvok was a good character, but I'm not so
I think the most encouraging thing is he needs a good story to move forward.
He's made two great and hugely successful movies in a row and the number one
thing on his mind is the quality of the story and his emotional attachment to
it.

would be the BBC (as they have a good track record on putting blacks in
