The broadcast just stops. The picture looks like it is on pause, or the
screen goes black. In the worse case you will see signal lost.

I think producers are scared of alienating new viewers by lopping on 7
seasons of continuitythe same excuse comic publishers make when there is
another Spiderman #1 (Brand New Day anyone?) or a new universe all together
