Hey there!
about the sunny day perforance in july 1999, in anaheim, and although i had
a great time, and i wished i could have heard of them, but there were time
restraints. i was a little dissapointed in the sunny day preformance, i just
thought the sound was really off. And maybe i was too c
I went to the sunny day concert in Atlanta at the Masquerade (November
1998) and I'm wondering if anyone has a recording of that particular
concert. If so, I would be interested in obtaining a copy. Please contact

no, "how it feels." should have been on the live record! i totally
agree! there are quite a few other tunes that should have made it to that
record, but alas did not.
as for the demo tape, i'm sure in about a year, a 3rd generation tape will
surface on ebay and some ding-bat will be stupid

Yeah, Poor Old Lu is awesome, another few interesting tidbits about Poor
Old Lu: When Jeremy was touring solo, Poor Old Lu's bassist Nick Barber
played bass for him. When they were kids, they played together on a
soccer team called "The Starkicks". I forget which one, but one of Poor

First you guys can't call it a demo. It is a pre release but only for the
record label and their distributers to hear. So don't ever get your hopes
up of ever finding one of probably 10 of these recordings
i read earlier on the timebombrecordings.com web site that the band was in the studio
recording their songs and a possible release date of the next album would be sometime
in the summer this year.
i went back to the site today (1/12) and they had taken down what i read. so it could
be true or
I like the fact that he is doing falsetto vocals. It shows that he is
trying new styles and variations instead of the same stuff. That is the
biggest problem singers have.
I believe I read in an interview with SDRE from http://www.buddyhead.com that
they said themselves they were shopping themselves around by sending demo's to
labels and such. I dunno maybe I was wrong. But I been awake for 24 hours.
heh.

hello all! very happy to be part of this list. A few months ago I purchased
the sunny day real estate "live" album. The cd had a sticker on the outside
of the shrinkwrap talking about how it was enhanced and had videos ect... But
the actual packaging of the cd says nothing about this. Either my
no matter who you are or what label you're on, if you
want to reccord new songs, the label is going to want
to hear what you plan to record.. they want to know
what they're fixing to pay for.. so, whether or not
they were "shopping around" a demo is irrelevant..

hey,
it's not that they NEED a demo, but most bands,
even the biggest bands, make demos of their new
songs before they go into the studio to record
for real. it helps to figure out what's
good/bad/needs work. i think billy corgan makes
about a 100 demos before he goes in to the

Am I the only one who thinks that they really needed "How it Feels to be

I forget who posted it, but I agree: I don't think they'd need a demo tape.

Hi,

Hey,
I'm pretty sure that when your that big you
don't need a demo tape. I'm in a band seeking a label and I believe this
is how it works: First of all the best way to get signed is when a
label comes to you. I think that you only need a demo if
it is your first time being signed. To g
They are owned by a major, not sure which one tho. I know someone who works
for Timebomb, so not only will I ask them about it, I will ask em about
future release dates, and specifics.

I was looking through the Diary lyrics the other day, and I noticed something

Hey all,
First off it's great to have the list up and
running again. Cheers to those behind it!
Next, the demo that's being sent to producers would

it.
I wasn't too excited about the guys signing with

i hope the list runs up to par now. Thanks Ferris for taking on the
responsibility. ok, does ANYONE have the 'friday(original).mp3' that was
in the now defunct sdre audio archive??? i can't find it anywhere. it
has some of the chorus replaced with just a few guitar chords. It is
really old, but
just so you all know SDRE left on sunday the 9th to work on their "second
second album," as they refer to it. a friend of mine talked to will before
they left and supposedly they should be done around april. i think that's
w/out the mixing, etc.
ok that is all for now.
i'm SO glad this list is
