You are going to be hard pressed to find anything in a P or H body that is
still in good shape. While I have never tried swapping P body latches into
H body Latches, I have replaced a good number of both and I keep my eyes
open for them. I haven't found a good set for a long time, maybe 5
anyone got a shifter rod for a GLH. I have NOS versions of all the rods
except for the first one that attaches to the shifter. I checked with local
dealer today and was advised that it is not available... anywhere.
I am going to SDAC. If you have one and are going, just let me know.
The Shelby Lancer Springs were slightly less drop (3/4) and had the 205 60
15 Gatorbacks and Formula GPs. The 60 series tires give you a lot more
cushion than 55 or 50 series. But even with that, some of the auto magazine
writers of the time were critical of the less than supple ride. I
Count me in.

for $60 to $75 on Ebay for the SC emblem caps, $50 for the DODGE caps. The
pumpers sell for $200 a set with caps if you can find them, then you have to

tranny and brakes and can be had for a little less money. The 85/86 GLH

The first two paragraphs in Hemmings Muscle are really the tone setters. They
don't really knock the cars but they imply that they are not looked at with
fond visions of wanting one. The closest they come to showing what kind of

I have a set of the cs7404 that need work. I have been thinking about
getting them done professionally and having them do the inserts black and
have Dave from Positive Impressions do up the SHELBY decal for the center
caps in red, do the pin stripe on the
87 CSXs got Centurions with blacked out cut outs. 88s got the LeMans and 89s
got the (in)famous plastic wheels painted gold. The 86 GLHS got Centurians
with Shelby stamped on them and the 87 GLHS got them without Shelby stamped
on them.

I have had very good luck with powder coating my bumpers. It is not an exact
match for the anodized coating on the original, but it appears to be a lot
more durable than either paint or anodized finish. I haven't tried to do
anything with the headlight housings so I can't help you there.
