My theory is that by starting with hot water I should be able to use
deionized water and still get
that by starting w/deionized water one ends up with a more positively ionic CS, which is a good thing.
Thanks,
Dan

I have found that hgeating the water over about 150 degrees F makes a yellow CS with the same setup that makes clear at under 150 deg. I have settled on +/- 100..110 deg as the best temperature.
But that's my setup

I am aiming for consistency in batches. Using distilled or deionized
water near boiling temp each time

Dan,
In four years of researching the making of CS I have NEVER boiled water
with heat. I have several times boiled it with 29 of vacuum, and it did
reduce the conductivity as it removed dissolved gases.
The commercially available reverse osmosis, demimeralized, deionized
water that is avalible
I have a question that may be easily answered. In the (hopeful)production of colloidal silver, with a 31v DC unit, which type of water is best or recommended. From what I have read, deionized water is a better start solution due to the minimized ionization. I have also heard that with a unit
