It didn't work initially for me via sipx (3.10.2), so I just set the caller-id on the mediant 1000 gateway for specific extensions. I imagine that there's a setting on the gateway to properly receive caller-id information from sipx, but I didn't spend much time looking into it. Also, my telco did

It's extremely important to turn off Error Correction on the Fax. Some have the ability to turn it off in setup, some require the manufacturer to call into the fax to disable it. Some turn themselves back on when they get a G3 connection, so you have to watch for that. One symptom of Error

I can't recommend a specific adapter, but I can recommend against a couple of adapters when it comes to faxing. The Linksys 3102 analog-to-digital adapter doesn't jive well with fax machines. While it does work some times, there are quite a lot of fax machines that will refuse a fax sent from a f

Theoretically it should work fine. You need to be more specific whether or not the gateway or ata adapter also supports t.38 or not. If your outside connection is POTS it should be ok using g711ulaw as fax bypass but t.38 is "better". Your fax call traversing over ip from the gateway to your a
