I use webdav using https. and it works well. especially if you use a syncing
program. Because i use windows desktops/laptops Netdrive is my choice. I saw
somewhere that mac osX has webdav support builtin. I am not a mac user so i'm
not sureThis allows you to also password protect you files. And if

I'm told that one of the big pros of the X server/client is that the
server and the client can be on separate machines ( I guess like a remote
desktop). How can I use my windows machine to run applications on the
linux machine. Currently I'm just using a "vnc" setup.

knowledge can correct me) that this type of firewall is more efficient
and secure.

hardest way to do something".

Thanks for your reply. I couldn't find anything glaringly obvious but I
was having some other install problems with the CDROM auto mount so I
think I'll have to opt for a clean install as it will probably be faster

I am just about to install Mandrake 10.0. Has anyone already
done this? If so what do you think of it? Is it much of an improvement on 9.2?

help to connect a linux box running Mandrake 9.1 to Telstra bigpond adsl.
