With iOS6 you can now share photostreams, so you and your wife can have
separate iCloud accounts but share photos with eachother. You'll need the
latest version of iPhoto to download them on your Mac. Why not go for the 5
over the 4S? The camera's much improved.

My wife is now keen to update to an iPhone 4S for the better camera.
I already have a 4, with my own iCloud account that syncs with my
PhotoStream to our MacBook.
How do I best setup my wife's iPhone so that it syncs her photos to my

Have you tried another keyboard/mouse? It also sounds like it could be a RAM
issue (usually when the cursor freezes it's RAM). I'd say leave it for 24
hours, then force-shutdown and try booting up again.

Won't do any harm from an iMac point of view. But if the Drobo/Aperture
process is still running, you might muck that up...
Of course, if you have a recent back up, that won;t matter overly, other
than from an irritation point of view.
