[RCSE] Painting Mylars/Masking Tape?

Hey Guys, Does using masking tape on waxed mylars produce any adverse effects? I'd like to prepaint the mylars and get some nice sharp lines instead of the standard spray paint "fade". Will masking tape leave any unwanted 'sticky' residue on pre-waxed mylars. Thanks, Tom RCSE-List facilities
