Okay, so I got an Astro Flight 110D charger. Now, I notice that a lot
of electric fliers choose to put the hood up and connect their chargers
directly to the car battery. Is there anything wrong with using the
cigarette lighter or power accessory plug on my car to power the 110D?
A few years ago I was told that Airtronics would give credit for old
receivers (pre 1991) towards the purchase of a new one. Is this true?

The Southern California Soaring Clubs (SC-2) announces its first annual
series of Hand Launch Glider contests. The first contest will be sponsored
by Harbor Soaring Society, at their field in Costa Mesa, on Sunday, May 28 -
the lasr weekend before the International HLG Festival in Poway.
I just picked up the plaques for the SR2K man-on-man
spring series. There will be ribbons awarded for the individual
race classes this Sunday as always.
There were plenty of entries in the 48 inch foamie class
so their plaques are a tad larger and they will be awarded
1st though 3rd.
