Gents,
I learned from Doug Reel a while back that you can easily re-tap those
imbedded steel metric nuts in your Euro plane to a more available (at
least in the US) size if you use some care. I picked up a tap set from a
local hardware store for about $25, and it was money well spent. Pick a

Gents,
I heard second hand that George Steiner said a carbon boom itself would
work as an antennae, since the carbon is conductive. Anyone tried it?
How could the receiver wire be attached to the carbon?

Thanks Matt,
This is a good, quick explanation of what charging is all about. Too bad
I didn't ask this question 2 weeks ago. Oh well... Off I go to the Sirius
website.
cheers

My OFB Steve Meyer is building three of these and I get one! 8-) We got
the cores from Pat. Look, it's even open bay, sort of... 8-) We think
it's going to be good for midwest RES.
The Hobie Hawk is only for Nostagia now.

Hi Gang,
I have two sets of RES Maxx Cores cut and ready to ship. The price is
$50/set plus shipping. These cores were
all cut from 1.5# density Dow Greyboard Foam. This is a RES ship designed by
the Harley Michaelis. You can get more information on the finished product
and also building instr
Well, I guess I've been lucky. I've been flying gliders and power planes for around
15 years, have used only the wall-warts, and never had a single battery problem (well,
there was the time my Boomerang almost caught on fire, but that's another story).
When my batteries start getting a few ye

I own two Artemises (Artemii?) and the plane flies great. I don't do slope,
so I can't comment on its capabilities there, though I believe it wasn't
designed with that in mind.
It thermals VERY well and has good legs for getting around. The fact that a
novice like myself can fly it reasonably w
Straight "Charging For Begginers" answer, Don -
With a wall charger, you have to charge for 18 hrs for a full charge. If you
constantly go fly and run your pack 1/2 way down, then charge, your nicads
will develop 'memory' and get weak after running that 1/2 charge you usually
fly, and you'll have

Not sure what Japan brand you may have
Folks,
I'm interested in both thermal and slope in the Palm Springs, CA
area. I'm aware that D.U.S.T fly on a school field on Sundays,
but (1) that's the least convenient day for me, (2) if I'm on
vacation, I'd like to be able to fly more than once a week, and
(3) this doesn't address the issue
Nope keep looking another FUNNY brand!!

Fellow Soaring Enthusiast,
I am torn between getting two different gliders with two different
airfoils. Glider # 1 the Artemis F3J with the SA 7035 airfoil
(http://www2.jonction.net/~icare/Artemis.htm) and glider # 2 the El Camino
F3B with the MH-32 airfoil (http://www2.jonction.net/~ica
A wall wart is like my 3rd or 4th line back up. Had to go check on
the UL thing, it appears my Japan Radio wall wart is not UL
approved. 8-) (There, Dr K didn't have to say it but I knew what he
was saying anyway.)
That's OK, I have an old (wont mention the name) sirius like design for

To piggyback a 100" glider (like a Riser and such) would a 40 size trainer
with a 60 on it work or would I need a 60 size trainer with a slightly
larger engine? Thanks

LOL! That is funny a peak charger is much better then a wall cooker
for your batteries.
