An 80 oz Emerald Won SWC 2001. It drove thru all those nasty little thermals hanging out over the landing zone. In one round there were four huge dust devils all lined up about a mile straight out from the launch. I made it out there( thru massive sink) when many were turning back. Downwind

I have a Higgins F-20 that I have been flying for about a year. I cant seem to get the speed and energy retention out of it like those guys on the DS Fest and Lift Ticket videos. Mine is pretty light. I was wondering what other peoples F-20 weighs in at. Im think I need to add a boatload

If memory serves me, you must inhibit flaperon, as it overrides spoileron. You need to crank up the landing differential to ~50% and then re-center the ailerons mechanically. This should give you the wanted result. I think crow has to be active to get the throttle stick in the picture too. I'll

.. a lighter plane will sink slower... Well, a lighter plane will fly slower. Sink speed is the product of flight speed * L/D, so unless the L/D goes up as fast as the the forward speed, a lighter plane will indeed sink slower. But the L/D does go up some with wing loading because of Reynolds

I'm no expert but have flown F-20's and Rodent's for awhile. First, how much wind are you flying in? Does your slope furnish real good compression type flying? This is real important if you want to really get good punch. My F-20's Rodents don't really start showing what I would consider

Computer mixing should not be required for properly designed spoilers. This is an artificial requirement. One could just as well argue that elevator mixing should not be required for properly designed flaps, since this just might allow you to use a somewhat simpler radio. It could be done...
