Hello All,
I am driving to Asheville, NC, later this month (with my s.o., to see
her mother...)
I will be there around the 24th, for a few days. Is there good sloping
or thermaling in the area ?
If so, I'm considering to bring (a small) or to ship a (big) big plane,
to go play while I'm there
Oh. Because the LED on the first solenoid is passing current. I get it.
Thanks.

The odds were a bit in the favor of that as I know three of them were not
there on Sunday... which perhaps left two or three if Paul Siegel showed up.
Did the weather cooperate for day #2? If so, what were the results? I
reckon from your post that the weather did cooperate and you did well.
Tough day of flying, rain in the morning, then windy. We flew 4 rounds
of unlimited (6, 8, 8, 8 minutes) and 3 of RES (6, 8, 8 minutes). I
don't know what they all were flying but here are the top flyers:

Hey Tom,
I have a Sirius tester and it won't work with my 1100mah
nicad TX packs, but it will do the 700's, what's up with that?
It will do my 1500mak RX packs though.
Thanks,
Dave
Dave,
I have no idea. Even though I have used a lot of different chargers (and
sell quite a few), I have
Nice post Denny, glad to see the scores promptly.

I don't think the Sirius Super Test cares (or can even know, for that
matter) whether a pack is NiCD or NiMH...as long as it's 4, 5 or 8 cells it
should work fine. Maybe a diode issue with a particular pack prevents it
from discharging through the tester?

I picked up one just the other day. Holds 2 transmitters as well as a
bunch of airborne battery packs (I always carry them separate for the ease
of charging them). Not bad for about $25.

I have to say it again, LOFT was all over the details of this
contest. What a well run contest. Impressive to see scores posted to the
web within hours of completion.
I did a write up and put some
It was another great year for the International Handlaunch Glider Fest
in Poway CA. The contest was particularly challenging this year with
overcast conditions through the contest with alternating very light and
moderate lift. There was also not as much wind this year resulting in
