Hi
a good source of rare earth magnets about 30 X 15 X 2mm is from
stripping down an old 3.5 hard disc drive (used for driving the heads)
- ultra strong - remove them with acetone, don't try to prise them off
or they will break.
Lots of other useful bits too - bearings etc.
Cheers

Hi Gloria,
We've just reintroduced out Plane
Packs. They carry even the largest sailplanes as well as most of the
accessories needed to fly them. You can see them and our Tube Socks at www.jtmodels.com.
Happy flying,

Hey all you sportube users!
How about some feedback, tips, hints, pictures of how you use and pack your
sportube with sailplanes? I do not recall seeing any on this forum.
With Gordy's praise and world travel, there must be lots of you users
besides Gordy. Anybody out there with examples?

Tom,
I've made several trips out west and have had good luck with just leaving my
plane in it's Jim Bag. I did make plywood vertical stab and rudder covers to
protect those areas of the plane. Also connect a cable to the D pin that comes
with it so it won't get miss-placed by the TSA. I also
My old office had a metal floor. With your magnets placed in the shoes of
the draftsmen, we could have gotten some work done.
Of course we'd flip the magnets for my shoes and I could glide across.

I just got a used Temest and would like any input

Any info would be great.

I notice from time to time that amodeler will

The D pin leaves your plane accessible behind the wall. I have had 4
separate instances where someone dug around inside and damaged things using the
pin.
I had locks cut off and had the sportube come out on the belt off the
plane!

You need to delve further to find the technical specification. Again,
the recommended cycle count will vary depending on contact material,
plating thickness, and spring cotnact configuration. Go to the spring
contact of choice then the datasheets...
