Am wondering when a site will be picked for F3J trials? The RMSA site says
that the trials are ~August 18-20 or such, but that is off the Labor Day
weekend, what is up...

Marc, My understanding is that the host club bid deadline is the end of
March. The TSC will then evaluate all bids and determine a location.

Picked a tool case from Lowes a few years back for my transmitter and stuff.
The grey foam rubber inside is getting a bit ragged (it was pre-cut for easy
customization) and now I would like to replace it. I have been to the

I picked up a couple of Pistol cases from wal-mart a few years back that has
nice foam inside that you can cut to fit the transmitters. I use one for
transmitters and one for a 200 gig external computer harddrive. Think they
were between $7 and $8 per case.

Jim,
Just a suggestion, but if you have fix it, why not just update to
something more modern and available. Cy Rahm had an old garage full of old
bikes and wheels that he used to build these things. For the way things
looked in his shop, he did turn out really fine winches and retrievers.

Anyone noted any detriments of using a carbon tube?
Round rod/tube generates a LOT of drag.
