FWIW, the DAW Fw-190 seems to fly pretty much the same as his P-51. If the Mustang is faster, it's not by much, in my experience. I think if you choose a model that has a big spinner up front, like the Fw or the Sea Fury, you'll be okay. It's too bad that USN WW2 planes did not have spinners.

Heh. Actually, I like the Sea Fury because, although it's a radial, it has that big-ass spinner in the front to keep it somewhat aerodynamic. Also, it has a fairly long tail and nose moment that would seem to make it a perfect shape for PSS (I think it conforms more to the proportions of the t

I agree very much with Bill Swingle. An epp model with large amounts of drag at the nose will require ballasting to penetrate and will probably fly like a dog. Also, with ballasting to overcome drag, even on a heavier wind day, you might as well be flying a fiberglass model at that point. ---
