I got to the field at about 6:30 and there are those huge Hollywood type
spot lights criss crossing the sky, there must be a dozen of them.
The temp is already warm and friendly, they have the entire field groomed
really low, it looks a lot like a golf green, with diagonal cut lines in the
Guys I have to tell you, the vendors and sponsors have done this thing up
RIGHT!
Driving into the entry to the site, is a huge banner spanning over the
entrance "Welcome to the World Soaring Masters!
Along the road to the flying area are banners on poles flying in the
wind about every 20'

slots are filling up incredibly fast.
The JW's and DPs are a given, but there are also the Turkish, Norwegian and
German contingent coming...then the 'sponsors-boys' are automatically slotted,
that doesn't leave a lot lef

I find that it helps to look at the system.
To do a TD task you have a pilot, plane, caller/timer, preparation,
maintenance, conditions and luck.
The better the first things are the less important is the last.

Masters of Soaring contest... so as to NOT exclude
anybody... we fly the following classes:
Unlimited
RES
RES and Flaps
RE and Flaps
2M
2M RES
2M RES and Flaps
2M RE and Flaps
I think that is the right attitude. I've had Ray beat me in MoM rounds
with a woody against my ICON before. And he will certainly let you know it
too, and hey, that's cool. ;-)
And guys that want to fly their 2m's and RES models feel free to do so,
there is no restrictions on that as well.
NOS at AMA NATS. do you know
where the most woody fun will be in 2006 ?
