OT Maya: ncache hell

Hey guys So I have to re-time my particles in Maya, and no one seems to know how to do this properly. Do you guys know if I can bring them into softimage, re-time, and then re-export the ncache to maya? Even if you know how to do it with houdini, please shout! Thanks guys

This morning I woke up with the idea to create 2 or 3 models with baked syflex simulation. Then use that as particle instances on the point cloud (to make them flock). Problem with that is that not all the time the papers will face "forward" and some of them will flock downwards, then the baked sim

Seems to work better if you select the polys of the mesh and extrude rather than just selecting the mesh and extruding... On 16 February 2015 at 15:06, Matt Morris wrote: > Make the word a planar mesh and extrude the meshe along the curve? > > On 16 February 2015 at 14:39, adrian wyer > wrote:

yeah sort of works, i can use this, but it would be better to be able to extrude curves. then i can keep it live and change the word/font without screwing up the extrusion i bet Houdini could do it ;o) a _ From: softimage-boun...@listproc.autodesk.com [mailto:softimage
