Can you send the output of route -n before and after you connect, this
could help.
As far as I know, ppp should set the default gateway, but I'm not sure of
what's happening
if this is set before launching it.
Anyway, once you're connected you should check the address of your ppp0,

I managed to connect OK. But I'm still getting the routing problem where it
seems to be trying to go through my other PC, even though I set default to
ppp0.
I shall re-install. :)
AnywayI noticed that pppd gave me the following text at some point
during my connection:

I have the same problem, if I connect (for example) to freshmeat (using
Galeon), I get the text straight away
but I have to wait say 5secs to get the few images on the page... weird

Ok. I think the best is to make your source code available on your web
site and give
Since I couldn't get the latest version to work reliably, I tried
stripping down the code to a bare minimum - bulk transfers, one at a
time, reaping on completion.
With this arrangement I was able to connect first time & get really good
pings (20-22ms). Very stable, until I fired up mozilla,

I managed to get a connection first time out of this (I think). Maybe you
can all help me figure this out.
unfortunatly, I'm not the linux master I wish I was :P
I am running Mandrake 7.2 w/ 2.4.2
I left pppd as it was as was suggested below and compiled the modules
suggest into the kernel.

Bonjour,

* la solution 100% Alcatel :
Apparemment, bcp
Hope that drivers will work with Via cards!! I have bought such one

Bonjour,
