Hi, The USBDEVFS_BULK failed's that I was seeing after prolonged inactivity of the line turn out to probably be a pppd issue, and not an issue with the (user space) driver. Shortly after installing the speedtouch rpm I set the kdebug level to 7 in the pppd config file for testing purposes.
