At my Qnap ts-453a, QOptware-NG is actief.
And the missing shared libary are in there.
So install and set actieve a Optware like QOptware, then MusicIPServer
will work.
Gone try and have a look, if i can make a work around on this.

There are two ways you could try, the first is to get a nice clean
installation. (

uninstall and reinstall with place back the directory.
You got a very clean installation, and from then on Upgrades go through
the AppCenter, so you don need to do this after this.

Yes both can be done, for several commands, but not all.

Yes i know already pointed it out to them.
Asked why they set it on /opt, as they could do the same as i do symlink
it to /usr/local and /usr/bin.
But they don't understand why, but i think /opt is for a optware
solution not any thing else.
Also many other apps, symlink to the /opt directory,
We found the problem, the old optware is messing up youe system.
I would suggest to remove it from the appstore, and install a proper
Optware solution.
The thing i learned from this is, not to let the script not use any
other program then those supplied by Qnap.
I know how to fix this, when
Just remove it from /opt by doning rm /opt

Would not remove the optware, as you properly uses for other things.
In my case i have Optware-NG enabled and running on /opt, and no trouble
at all.

Oke could you now do thing to make it work, i believe you did chown -R
admin SlimServer/.
Then ./LogitechMediaServer.sh start.
If it now it start, could you show me the last part of

Just for testing could you do ./LogitechMediaServer.sh stop.
Then from LogitechMediaServer directory do chown -R squeezeboxserver
SlimServer/, and chmod -R 0755 SlimServer/
After this try ./LogitechMediaServer.sh start
If it give the error again, please send me the
LogitechMediaServer.log.err
Qnapfan we think the same, yes he has sudo by optware. As he also gets
the messages from renice, which came apart of QTS after version 4.3.
Does mather know now where the things go wrong.

If it wont start, there will be a logfile in the LogitechMediaServer

Looked on it this morning, and yes it comes from the LMS packets
itself.
Strangly enough i use the same perl i686 on my QNap, no trouble no
errors.
I uses the i686 perl version, because it needs less memory then the
x86_64 perl version.
