The previous script swallowed entries or just ended the search with an
exception. There were also some errors in the script which just resulted in
nothing displayed in e.g. under storage. It now tries to map them to the
correct domain and when it fails displays them under the global * domain. It

Yes because it probably was broken before or just swallowed some entries. It
now should display and process all of them which might mean it might need some
performance tuning in the source code.
You can set data_manager.debug to true in about:config and check what it is
doing in the console.
How about filing a bug for the two issues. #2 is likely profile related and #1
might be also. If yes this won't go away.
