i don't remember heinlein being so sexual in his writing, though he did
write my favorite book.

tommy loy the cabin boy
dirty little nipper

and circumcised the skipper
seems painful for both parties.

The rotor of the generator in CLearwater must be at least 30
feet tall.
It would turn slowly in low wind. I never tried to find out
who oned it or how much power it generated. But it was
certainly quite.

Hi David and All,
I prefer downwind rotors with rotatable tower
foils , I had been building them for 5 years 15 years
ago.
Your right, most noise comes from the interaction
of the blades and the tower. Another source is the
blade tips. I solved that by using single thickness
blad

I am referring to the diagram, which when enlarged shows a "pool" of some
liquid, valving, heat exchanger, and what may be a rectifier plus a couple
of transistors? Yet the text refers to "windings" and "no brushes", but I
don't see a mechanical connection, rather it seems electrical with DC. This
I have seen a unit with this sort of rotor in a city near
Clearwater Florida. Rotor was mounted vertically -- that is
axis of rotation was vertical eliminating any wind direction
dependence.
Looks feasible to me

The Cabin Boy's name was Carter
By gosh, he was a *arter!
When the wind wouldn't blow
and the ship wouldn't go,
They got Carter the *arter to start'er!
Wind can be so unreliable - or "intermittent", as Shell International would
have it!

Indeed, this appears to be a pure hoax to me. The diagram you refer to
doesn't make sense-OR- I just don't understand the technology involved. I
looked at it carefully and I say - SCAM!

Here is my patent spec. for noise reduction of wind turbines. I hope this
will allow more of them to be used, as it mitigates one of their public

I found more sites on wind power and one which is selling
reconditioned wind turbines. Some interesting info too. There
are over 28,000 producing wind turbines on wind farms worldwide,
most are in california, 14,500 of them, and growing. Wind farms
are producing 7,800,000,000 kwh a year. Over 30 n
