Hey Randy,
I missed this post earlier. A few months ago I would probably have
not fully understood your comments. But these times are so
interesing and dynamic for SVG, that now I am more than hopeful,
actually convinced, that you hit the nail straight on its head.

Hi,
I'm catching up on all the svg postings and a bit surprised at
the viability concerns.
In the larger picture the obvious trend is toward open standards. Corporate
enterprise has suddenly discovered open source and open source thrives on
open standards. The first generation

Errm, no, no, there isn't. Forget about Corel.
But there's Mozzie, which is a fine option as well:

Hi, Jon-
Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure it will help many people and
companies plan any strategies which involve SVG.
I know you cannot confirm or deny, but given the advanced development Adobe
has done with SVG viewers, I would still hope for the possibility of a new
viewer from Adobe,

Hi all,
I agree with Francis Hemsher. I read carefully that very good analysis by Jeff
Schiller, along with Michael Bierman's responses. I agree with everyone else's
observations and comments. I couldn't fail to notice that this situation is
very unusual for me, meaning the fact that I agree
Obviously when posting my previous post I hadn't got Jon Ferraiolo's
news. But I don't really disagree with what I wrote although I would
skip some arguments. It should at least keep Sara happy.

I must say something...This thread has raised the hairs on the back of
neck: There is something vibrating in the background that tells of a
happening for SVG that may be wonderous. I will keep my tent where it
is for the time being.

Hi Jon,
I need some help from Adobe.
I've been working on an SVG app that provides real-time updates to
a global map that tracks the Avian Flu.
There is a sampler online at:

Hi Domenico,
I believe, unless IE7 picks up SVG and runs with it, we're all dead
in the water, and should pick up our tents and move to another tribe.

I know. Just wish things could speed up. Imagine Adobe shutting down
asv download page, then the transition period could be fatal. I've
always been optimistic all the time but now I kind of find it
difficult. I mean FF it's good it's going to be there at some point,
but how long can it take?
