nloads a game or
two (especially if it's older, and no longer for sale
through it's original publisher). I think it's a
matter of common sense, more than anything.

Although common sense might tell you third world
countries in general pirate more software, most don't
generate enough volume in sales to actually hurt the
industry as pirates in the US
new games, each
release packed with more graphics and sound, and plays
on the same old system. It's a different approach on
consoles by SNK, and I give them good credit for it.
If I could play the newest DOOM on a PC I bought 12
years ago, I'd be a happy man. :)

It's certainly unethical, but I must confess I'm lured
to the idea. Of course I don't really own anything
that would loosely fetch those high prices, and
wouldn't afford the items that are dug out by the
unaware, so I couldn't do anything but watch you guys
build up your collections (or fortunes :)
e sane then :)
Which reminds me, welcome Peter Olafson!

Guys,
Looks like getting rid of Origin props is a lucrative
business :) I just wish I had the cash to participate
in this auctions, but they seem to be a little out of
my league.
Anyway, I thought I let you all know about it (if you
hadn't already). I didn't contact him to check for
authenticity,
I know it doesn't compare to the amounts the Drashes
and the PS Zorks have been gathering, but this got me
puzzled:

No newbies... big bids, for what I'm used to seeing of
flat-boxes. Am I missing something here?

I checked it out, and liked it a lot. Great idea, by
the way.
One doubt, though: is it image only, or some amount of
text input will be available as well? I'm no expert in
database or anything, but I'd like to be able to
search the magazines for contents (reviews, previews,
hints or even ads), wit
I did like, though the US part did make me feel kind
of left out :) Guess I'll have to do some research for
the CURIOLA for us Latin Americans...
I like the fact that it's simple and easy to use, with
a catchy acronym. That way it's easier to get people
to use it. Once the Guide is a little more r
being labeled "the long message
bastard".

'm more of a fan of most of you guys,
Hugh, CE, Jim - love Moby :) but I'm getting there.
Finally, if anyone ever needs something from Brazil
(gaming or otherwise) or hints when dropping by, don't
hesitate to ask.
