Hi James, Carlos
I think there's been a misunderstanding here. Let's take a step back
here and see if we can come to an agreement that is in all of our
interests.
I've been involved with Synfig as a developer for several years. We
definitely need a talented designer, and I appreciate the offer
Synfig definitely has a non-standard collection of blend methods. Some
of them are simply unique blend methods that aren't found in other
graphics programs.
Others, though, extend the W3C methods with two new concepts:

Nice, the code's coming together! I played around with it today and
fixed a couple of compile errors.

I think the distinction between SynfigColor and CairoColor may be a
red herring, because the real major distinction between the two
rendering systems is that the surface currently stores pixels as an
array of Color objects, but cairo expects a pure array of bytes. Even

I don't find Shape Tool to be confusing at all. The verb shape is
mostly used with abstract concepts (to shape a statement), and
sometimes for 3D objects (to shape a piece of clay). In the context
of 2D animation, I wouldn't think of it as a verb. Plus, the icon on

Control points seems too long for such a common term: especially in
phrases like tangent control point. Shortening it to controls or
just points may not work (controls is

Again, why not move all commented-out code into a separate branch? This
gives us the best of both worlds.

As Diego said, cross-merges wouldn't work. Depending on how we set it
up, either merging master into this separate branch will

Why commenting out? Aren't version control systems there exactly so that you
don't need to keep such cruft in the current code? I am really wondering
about the huge amount of commented-out lines in the codebase.
