The fact that DMC and DGS are confused when they have only one letter in
common just adds weight to the wish of many of us that posters should just
state their name at the end of their reply.

Rodgers commented that his fastest in high school was 4:18. His
fastest official mile was still 4:18. But in interval workouts,
he'd run miles which he thought were faster - but weren't officially
timed.
Rodgers was way slower than 4:18 as a HS'er.

The difference, of course, is that there is only 12
minutes of football squeezed into sometimes 4 hours of coverage when you count
the pregame show whereas the networks manage to squeeze a multi hour track meet
into one hour and show only a few minutes of action.

No. My HS team was not particularly deep or amazingly great ... and we had
guys who weren't goo at any other events thrown into the 1600m, because they
couldn't sprint or throw that well.
Why not go to the same link and slam them for interrupting the 1500m with a
failed jump? Or not showing the men's 3k, when they plainly had time for it
(just delete the ho-hum men's hurdles and 200m). I saw more Kobe Bryant on

A slight bit of further explanation is appropriate. In those
days if the pole fell forward through the uprights, the vault would
have been considered a miss. Human interference with the natural
motion of the pole, such as preventing it from falling forward by
catching it, would therefore
The young women I coach have no appreciation that before 1972 women track
athletes weren't invented (ok, barely) and what the pioneers went through to
make women's track and field equal to men's. These youngsters can't imagine
a time when women were not considered.

Actually Warmerdam did go higher (legally) indoors than he did outdoors. He

It is up to date, as of last week-end.
We will try to keep it that way.
