MJ has stated that he would be at the Championships regardless of whether or
not he competes. He will be there for PROMOTIONAL purposes.
Promoting the sport has more to do with pre and post race than the race
itself.

Didn't IAAF grant entry to all former World Olympic Champs? Now USATF
steps in declares all athletes from USA need to at least participate at
Nationals. Isn't this a bit of overstepping their own authority? Granted
that could be used to select relay members, but not for any individual
