I just purchased a Dell desktop and it came with a keyboard as you described. I contacted their tech support and they said that Dell had a study and that no one used the num lock key anymore. I guess they did not include screen reader users. I just purchased a new keyboard with a num lock on it

Wow, I had no idea keyboards were changing in this way. I can tell you that AI Squared does sell keyboards with both an applications key as well as a numlock key. It's really designed for Zoomtext users as it has an extra set of keys to control ZT functions such as toggling color enhancements,
