How? Just launch OpenMaps, find your favorite bar/pub/restaurant/etc. on the

Cool idea - I can see how it can help the OSM project.

at Mac Donalds, it's a fast food restaurant for the same location.

Guys, thanks. I can work with this feedback.

Currently we support only Twitter.

The goal with this sharing, commenting, checking in to OSM places on
Twitter is to create a buzz about OSM there and expose it to
potential new users. With that said if you open an openmaps:// link

Hi,
Zsombor, thanks for the reply, and clarifying about chickens.
When/how does OSM get edited with the app by the user? (Sorry, not got
an Iphone so cannot see for myself :)
Earlier in the thread you said
Every user that makes an edit to OSM via the app does it with their
own OSM user.

Today we released OpenMaps version 4.0 in Apple's App Store. It is a free
map app based on OpenStreetMap and we believe it is the best. It is as slick
as the built-in (Google) Maps application and if you ever used Maps on an
iPhone you know that it's not a little thing to say.
But this is not the
I think it's great that we have a large and diverse ecosystem of
applications in both the web, desktop and mobile space, all wanting to
use OSM and in the case of OpenMaps and others, wanting to help close
that feedback loop.
This is why Free Software and Free Data projects are so valuable,
Serge,
OpenMaps for iOS application works directly with the OpenStreetMap
API. We don't store any data on intermediary servers. Every user that
makes an edit to OSM via the app does it with their own OSM user.
Hope this clears things up.
