Maybe add a little section about adding his dataset to OSM instead of
just projecting it on top of it!

Since you're a mapper in Ostend, your data is probably also on the map,
which makes you one of the copyright holders. So you can even write the
mail in your own name.
The letter is good, though I wouldn't only ask attribution for the future
publications. I'd also ask to add attribution to the alre

umap/maperitive? Actually I'm interested in even making a map style of
my own but I have not looked into it deep enough.

I sent the mail today and I already received an answer.
They confirm that they used OSM and will include the required
attribution in future publications, including new revisions of the
"plasplan". The toilet locations in the plasplan are currently being
updated
