Hi Nyamuk,
I added you to my gmail contacts. This normally means you can see when I'm
online, if you want to do a Google Hangout session. I'm always ready to
help people to get started with JOSM, which is the only viable option once
you start working with route relations.

Hi,
Welcome to OSM! I hope you will find OSM to be an open and fun project.
Don't hesitate to ask questions and talk to other mappers.
For checking some of the data there are also some great maps here:

More in detail:

The maps on osm.org do not show the max speed, lane information, max
height, speed camera's and so forth. In this presentation

find a number of links to maps that show some of that information.
thanks Marc,
Wow! awsome stuff !!
A few things I'm really interested in:
1 - Walking & cycling networks (field surveys required)
2 - For car navigation I would suggest max speeds, lane information,
access rights (all of which requires field surveys)
For 1, preferably the cycling part; 2 could b
Hallo Nyamuk,
welcome to the world of OSM. Good to see that you are already using/trying

some Potlatch knowledge available as well.
There are a number of "projects" going on:

Hi everyone,
I discovered OSM last night and it got me quite excited!
While playing around with JOSM and Potlatch2, reading the many

Some good news: I got a response from OsmAnd_Pieter. I've made the

Andre,
What do you mean by adding a POI without updating the map? I've never used
Osmand and have troubles imagining how that works.
It is possible to indicate how the update was made. If you open the last
changeset of the user in question (

Hi André,
Apparently the edits were made with iD, so OSMAND is not to blame after
all. I jumped to conclusion due to his nick name. That being said, it may
still be a good idea for OSMAND to only create notes.
Since the user is using iD, it's strange he is not responding to his

Why is everybody blaming OSMAND? As far as I know JOSM to give an
example won't deliver messages either...
All his changesets I check mention iD as editor. According to me he
uses simply the web editor. Probably he simply adds duplicates because
they don't show on the main map and he thinks that th
Could it be a bug in OSMAND? What I think this user is doing, is simply
say. There is a speed camera here and such. It should have become a note,
instead of a node.
Of course, OSMAND should also relay messages we send to a user.

I think Kreatos has the combination of address data and coordinates. Those
coordinates are probably derived from a source which is not compatible with
our license, but we only need them as a hint. We don't want to use those
coordinates verbatim. Of course it would help to know in which building

Hi Marc
I talked about this yesterday evening on a meeting of the Future Group. The
good thing: this is definitely on the list of stuff which needs to be
worked upon. The bad thing: it's not a simple thing to solve. One of the
major problems is that address data is missing on a large scale in OSM.

I think it would be best to get a csv file from them with coordinates and

After that you can show them how to verify the information remains current
