Print?
2.) Where are you (cursor) when attempting to print: message body of
incoming message, editor in message compose, etc.

That seems consistent with my experience, as I had an Epson
Actionlaser 1500 which worked perfectly, then when I moved
to the Epson Stylus Color 860 I had the problem. Took me
awhile to figure out, simply reinstalling the driver failed

Hmmm, as I recall I downloaded the latest version as well,
but simply reinstalling it over the other failed. I was
running 98SE at the time, and when I moved to ME (by doing
an upgrade ---very bad Idea), the problem continued.
