This is not the problem because, I tried also to remove the
addressbook
file (also the addressboook.ini) and as I open the
addressbook tool
TheBat! crash.
I think the problem should be somewhere in the
configuration but I'm
not able to find it with the informations form
log and eventviewer.

If you still have access to the old installation, you could export the
Adressbook as an workaround.

after restoring TheBat! on the new laptop I can not open my
addressbook: each time TheBat! crashes giving an access violation.
The previous installtion was on Windows XP Sp3. Now I'm on Vista Sp1.
Another difference is that on the ex-laptop I had the Mail foldere in
Program but now I moved
