Be aware, though, that adding an extension of a file format which

I use NOD32 *without* the plugin and it seems to work just fine. I
don't scan outgoing emails, though, and there's a long-standing
controversy about the value of doing this. If that's the real crux of
the matter, then I can't be of much help.
