I'm glad that the Linux-Unix-Debian-pdftex contingent can now sleep soundly. I
also see exactly how the new PMX etex-demanding commands got into the mix (when
the embedded examples were compiled with mtx/pmx).
But there are still a few mysteries I'd like to pursue, for my own satisfaction

Thanks for all your suggestions! Adding the above line to mtxdoc.tex,
halleluja.ltx and kanons.ltx fixes the problem. (Doing it the o

Of course it works, because it's from me. :-) Ubuntu always just takes
the (e.g. pmx) package that I create in Debian. As described, the
previous version in Debia

The original sources are in m-tx, processed then with pmx
The "undefined control sequence" is what happens when you try to compile a
latex document with plain tex. I assume the mtx document is latex, and I
erred in saying to try tex or etex; I should have said latex.

Hi,
it seems to work if you add the line
\usepackage{etex}
directly after the \documentclass[11pt]{article} line.
Has anybody an idea why this is necessary?
Perhaps this line should be included in mtxdoc.tex ?

I don't know about pdflatex, but my understanding is that "latex" invokes
etex automagically.
Also, unless certain MusiXTeX commands are used or certain parameter values
exceeded, I believe musixtex.tex 1.15 can be processed with ordinary tex.
I suggest trying to compile the document the old fas
Hi,

Welcome to the wonderful world of PMX!
Well, not 100% wonderful, because coda is not included, so you have to use
in-line TeX:

Hi evrybody!
I am not so experienced with MusiXTeX.
Can anybody help me to set a Coda sign within PMX?
Kind regards
