As far as I can see, it's all related to the order you choose to apply the
transformations. I used the align before the rotate. If you move the align to
be done after the rotate the behaviour changes. Maybe you could test a little
bit and propose a better order for the transformations after test

Amazing work, rodrigo!!!
You are a metapost wizard.
May i wish something too?
I would need a line symbol with 90 degree „ticks“ like the section line, but
without the arrow points.
Above the upper tick (maybe start of line) i want to print some text, in my
case the UIS plan quality quantifier,
Thanks! I will take a look at the symbol already posted. It saves me the
effort of doing one myself.
A shrine! I never thought of that. A pair of crutches makes sense in that
context.
That does give me an idea for another symbol, though. A generic wheelchair

Totally agree, some really good stuff in there. That cracked mud looks
awesome :)

Hi Rodrigo -
I have some comments on your symbols. First of all - Very nice! I see
considerable time expended, and it shows in the results.
A few of these symbols would be useful to me. The symbols for danger, cracked
mud (both point and area) and masonry have immediate application in some m
Hello Rodrigo,
nice symbols, thanks. I can include these symbols to therion with an extra
EGB symbol list, could you please send me MetaPost source code of them?

That sets a new standard Rodrigo. I look forward to playing with them.

I would love to see them included. I could really use that cracked mud area :)
The symbols really look useful in general!

here are a few ideas for other new symbols.
I am extensively using a few additional symbols while drawing
projections: dashed contours for contours thare are on the back-side of
the projection, dashed areas for the connection of two galleries or for
a void / gallery orthogonal to the projection
Stacho
My initial thought is that steps resolution should depend on the scale
perhaps.
20cm in plan or elevation will be a bit pointless at 1:500 or 1:1:1000 -
would look like a fuzzy line.
Standard symbolized rise:tread of 2mm:3mm (or whatever) might be better.
Similar might apply to handrail
I have already done a hand rail in plan, due to being involved in
surveying a show cave, been meaning to put it on the kiwi for a while
now. This is one of my first attempts at symbol definition, (cannot
remember what I adapted it from), probably very poor, but in case it can
help.
