Hi Jed,
TLDR; I think there is no big problem. ... Just add a License tiddler to
your resume edition.
The details follow :)

I have made a full copy of Tiddlywiki.com (based on TW519) with lot of
additional tags for newbies.
I added a structured Quickref overview Tiddler to access all the
concerned tags in context of a TiddlyWiki.
These tags can be used and as a starting point to jump to all related

there a native TW syntax to make an external link open in the same tab?

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried shutting down extensions and add-ons
to FireFox. This seemed to address the problem. I'm not sure which add-on
caused the problem, but I am suspicious of an add-on that snuck onto my
computer from WildTangent. I'm still waiting to make sure this fix

Well thank you for your help so far. I'm setting up TW% and I have to admit
it looks a bit different at first glance.

Meanwhile thank you all, Jed, Danielo and Birth

Reading up on it I notice the auto backup from TW classic is gone. or
am I missing something?
Without a trusty backup system I wouldn't bet too much on TW5
On Monday,
Unfortunately there isn't an automated backup setup for TiddlyWiki5 yet.
When you save it is saving to the same file you opened. If you don't know
where that is look for empty.html in your downloads folder.

Hi Mrvmeck
Sometimes that error message is associated with trying to save to a
pathname that either contains spaces or international characters or is on a
network share. It may be worth trying to move the TW HTML file to a
different folder and try again.
Best wishes
Jeremy.

If you aren't using plugins or anything too complex on your wiki than it is
only a matter of some mostly simple syntax changes. If you do have
something complex in your wiki than it may be harder depending on what you
have.

So, there is a better version of tiddlywiki.
I'll set it up and see what I can do with it.
Main issue would be migrating a wiki from classic to TW5. Is that a problem?

Hi Jed
I think you are onto something important here. You're right that the way
that the core license appears at the moment gives it the apparent scope of
the entire file, including the content. So, I'd agree that there's a
potential issue here; we won't make things worse by not doing anything,

Maybe you can add the tag as used in github - that would clearly define the
limits.

BJ,
That would work better than anything I have come up with, but there are
still some problems. Like the tiddlers $:/SiteTitle and $:/SiteSubtitle
where it wouldn't be unreasonable to put something that has a different
license. Now that I am thinking about it every example I can come up with

I don't recall anything like that in the Classic TW I'm using.

Hi Mat
I think there are two questions here:
* Why does TiddlyWiki disable inline JavaScript?
* How can one adapt arbitrary JavaScript libraries to work with TiddlyWiki?
The answer to the first is indeed to ensure that it is not possible to
construct a malicious wikitext tiddler that, when
Hi,
I saw these other tiddlers before. I created similar ones for my own wiki.
Actually there is a field called 'list' on the HelloThere tiddler. I alway
suspected that this has something to do with it and added an analogous
field to my tiddler. With no effect.
Your post made me realize that
Sadly it seems to be abandoned.
Alberto did a great job, and it is very sad to see that it is not under
active development. Anyway, have you tried it? I think is should work with
the latest version of TW

Hi Mat
I'll ask, because federation will probably have such big consequences for
the whole TW project: Are there any parts in this that you think others
might have capabilities of working on? Is there any particular problem that
needs solving?
I don't think there's any big problems to solve;
Hi Andy
This plugin runs in the browser to synchronise tiddler changes to and
from a TiddlyWeb-compatible server (including TiddlyWiki 5 itself). It is
inert when run under Node.js.
Does this mean I can put a TW5 file on my web server at home and I can have
a local copy and sync the two?
I have an aggravating problem that I have been unable to solve. I hope that
someone can offer a solution or a work-around. The problem is: When I
attempt to save a TiddlyWiki file on one of my laptops, I get the following
