my oringinal lesions in 2004 were on the lower part of my spinal
colomnwhitch still are there on my recent MRI.my mid section has
been numb and feels like i have a tight band around me..when my neurolist
told me about TM starting on my neck area i asked him if i was starting with
MS
You mention that TM may be starting in your neck area. Where was the
initial lesion?
I thought that if new lesions form, the diagnosis changes. Anyone?

Hi Frank,
I am taking Neurontin 5200mg/day and Topomax 100mg/day. I was given 50mg
caps of Lyrica. I was told to take one Lyrica for a week with no change in
anything. Then if successful, I can take away 400mg Neurontin and add 50 more
Lyrica once per day. This is where we will start.
Hi Frank, Kevin,
In my case, two lesions (Both LETM's) led to a definitive diagnosis of NMO.
There are several other factors to be considered whenever leaning towards
MS. One is the presence/absence of oligoclonal bands in the CSF.

I have had a suprapubic catheter since 5/05 when I got too weak to walk
again.
My home health nurse changes it once a month. When I go out I can change
from the big collection bag to a leg bag which hids under my dress easier.
They tell my husband could be taught to change it. He

Hi Hildred,
How has your suprapubic been as far as infections? Does it offer the
optional valve feature? Two of my friends are considering this now, but
were anxious to find out just how much benefit they are from someone who
has/had one. The convenience that they offer sounds wonderful.

That happens to me occasionally -- I don't know why. I just resubscribe. One
of the mysteries of cuber-space, I guess.

Hi again Hildred,
I found a very popular model that is used in the UK that has an optional
valve feature which allows one to go without the bag for periods of time.
Some indwelling models have that capability, but I don't know if they have
been FDA approved here in the States. My two
I remember this happened to a lot of us off and on for about a year a couple of
years ago. It was a mystery then and appears to be one now too. As Barbara
says just 'resubscribe'.
