What about performance?
If Tomcat was as fast, as reliable, etc., as a web server as Apache, why would

that using Tomcat and Apache will provide better performance than Tomcat alone. If

Setup Tomcat as per instructions on

Then once you get it running try setting up Tomcat to run as an NT service. I
recommend you use JavaService.
The JavaService documentation is found at

What is being cached that you do not want cached? Are you talking about JSP servlets?
If so then, as a development setting, you may consider using the reloadable="true"
option for the context you are testing.

Hello A

Could somebody just help me with this a little? Please? :-) I have read the

I defined two workers that start ok so far as the log says.

I think the simplest way is to just use
application.log("This is a message to be logged");
This goes to the Servlet.log. A little better maybe would be to define something like:
String logHeader = request.getServletPath() + ": ";
Then use
application.log(logHeader + "This is a message to be log
Yeah, but I was bitten by the issue where the classpath may only be 256 characters or
less. It fails with "operation completed successfully". Anybody found a good fix for
