I don't know much about Mac computers, but as long as yours has an
ethernet port in addition to the wireless connection, and as long as
the Mac OS has the ability to share an internet connection, it should
be possible.
Googling "internet connection sharing & Mac" gives some results that

Those aren't folders, they're network shares. They must be separate
partitions on your disk drive.

Squeezebox Server recognize
When I go into my networked/shared devices on my laptop, one of the
devices I see is my squeezebox. When I click that, I see the following
folders:
logs
media-sda1
media-sdb1
media-sdc1
media-sdd1
printers
Other than the sda1, the media folders are all empty. Can I delete

I recently took delivery of an SBT and find that compared to the SB3 it
replaced that there's a large amount of background hiss from this unit.
There also seems to be a very high pitched whistle, just within my
hearing range but very fatiguing.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this or
I have some album cover art named as "Folder." Those are recognized. I
have other album cover art named as "coverart." These are not
recognized. I have done a full scan. They're both JPG files. Do you

you got this set up, power supply etc.
I want to use one in our motorhome but on the 12v leasure supply, any

get an error message (i am using NCH's 'switch' for mac). i also get an
error message when i try to change the flac's to wav's with audacity.
is this because of DRM/copyright protection?

configuration? From what I am reading using a .asoundrc file might give
us some flexibility in making configuration changes without modifying
the asound.conf. Perhaps writing the file from a plugin or

I think you are trying to hard. I had a 2706 DAC up and running last
night with the asound.conf I posted. Do not try and restart jive_alsa
or anything like that. Modify the asound.conf and reboot.

I face difficulties to get my PCM2707 going. I tried all kind of stuff.
Of course I got thousands more options - not now.
I don't think it is that easy to combine a 16 and the 24 bit devices.
(I tried plug etc.). Jive_alsa crashes all the time during startup.

The PSU's are different. Touch requires 3A @ 5V

This gets a bit complicated. You need to do some reading on alsa config
files. The one for the Touch is /etc/asound.conf. That file redefines
default to be virtual card which sends the same stream to the S/PDIF
and DAC devices.
