Use the Coax Digital out on the Touch!

With both Toslink and COAX S/PDIF output available on all late

I know the V-DAC quite well, have tweaked it alot, I even wrote my own

Don't use its USB input if you have other options, better use coax or
optical if coax gives you ground loop problems.

The C-media USB receivers are some of the worst ones ever made, their
sole redeeming feature is that they are dirt cheap. No wonder you like
the S/PDIF better.

Again, thank you all for a most informative discussion!
So far, my wireless connection seems to work flawlessly and sounds
excellent. This seems to suggest I should stick with it and thus avoid

The Touch was the perfect interface for installation in my new kitchen.
It sits on the counter and provides easy access to the music. I don't
even keep the remote in the kitchen. My SB3's (along with
Controller/iPeng) work much better for sit-down listening.

I got my SBT from Andrew at Solutions AV very quickly. Try sending them
an email and asking them to phone you back. I was very pleased with
their service. SBT arrived the day after I gave them my VISA number.
Best of luck.

I've seen the Out of Stock message too. I didn't know what was going
on, so I asked various people within Logitech.
We are indeed out of stock, but will have more within the next few
days. Our September shipment of Touch players for the United States was
supposed to arrive from the factory

I personally suspect it won't happen this year, but this is just a
guess, a December launch would probably be possible if Logitech decided
to make it happen. At the moment no one outside Logitech

You simply MUST ignore any displayed information on FLAC files and
bitrates. It's all just wrong.
If you have a 24-bit file, it WILL play at 24-bit.
If you have a Touch or TP, 96 will play at 96. 176.4 will play at 88.2
and 192 WILL play at 96.
There's nothing else to say.

Ok, it's pretty clear it dies with an out of memory error. Interestingly it
first kills the internal music server, while still showing images. Then, a few
images later, it definitely runs out of memory.
