Unlike Stereophile, relates mostly to Touch as digital source to DAC.
Rates it as an inexpensive way to get audiophile quality sound, and even
more so when using an external DAC.

Tranquil PC fanless WHS server running
I have had the Touch since product launch.
I compared the Touch as a transport to my Bel Canto CD-2 (not too cheap
at around $3,000) and I can't tell a difference either into my Bel Canto
DAC3.
I say this is all because of the high end linux sound system built into
the Touch. I've experimented
Hi there all!
I guess this might be a question of quite general interest...
I'm kind of a disappointed newcomer. Just bought a Touch and expected
too much of the word audiophile used in Logitech's publicity for the
Touch. I ripped my CDs using EAC, so the most accurate way I know of,

Hi there,
Just a post to confirm that this mod works with (my) HRT Music Streamer
II+.
BUT (in my case) it did not work just out of the box (my
Squeezebox is brand new, just bought today).
The HRT was not listed in aplay -l. I tried to reboot a hundred times,
to hotplug/unplug ... still
Best, most comprehensive review I've read.
(Not having read THE review unfortunately... :))

How do you get the Touch to play the premium Di.fm streams?
Sorry for asking the obvious, but have you paid/signed up for the
DI/Sky.FM premium account?
If so, all you need to do is add the App to your MySqueezebox.com
account, login with your DI/Sky.FM login and password
Thanks for your help!
Yes, I was trying to connect to the old SD card. I am unable to
discover the Squeezebox in my network.
I can successfully ping the squeezebox at 192.168.0.210

The real question is will TAS reward the Touch with a solid

Even though Stereophile by now notorious Class D has stolen the

Are you trying this from Windows Explorer? That should work if the IP
address is correct. From accounts in the forums, the file sharing on
the Touch has definitely

I also would like to know why using the USB output is superior (is it?)

Thanks...
I was able to login with SSH, but still, the device isn't accessible.
If I goto the SB Touch that is listed as one of the computers in my

good old message saying (in Dutch) that:

The connection is flaky indeed: Samba crashed again. But at least I got

Howdy y'all,
I've got a bunch of SB Booms scattered around my house, but I'm giving
some thought to replacing one of them with a Touch and powered speakers

way of a music collection -- I use my Booms just for listening to

I did the same thing as you...I've had three Duets for almost two years,

Well, the labels really like to re-issue most of their catalogs with

How true! Now if only the re-issues sounded better than the originals,
which is rarely the case.
