I think that's something in the Windows control panel app for
Squeezebox. Your only option would be to manually clear the cache by

Can you tell me where to find that option in the settings of Squeezebox
Server (Version: 7.5.3 - r31792 running on QNAP TS-410)?

Thanks. I've ordered from monoprice in the past as well.
I might give this 1' cable a shot:

A follow on to what Phil said about volume out... I'd run the Touch at
100% and do all volume adjustment on your audio equipment.

I'd guess that itunes has the art only in its data base. It sounds like
that when you ripped your CD's the album art was not put into the
songs. If each album is in its own folder you can put a copy of the
album cover art in each album folder with the file name of "folder.jpg"
and then do a full r
If you need a short 3.5mm to RCA cable you can find them at
monoprice.com
1.5ft is only $1.62 (Item #5596)
or
3ft is only $1.33 (Item #5597)
I have ordered many cables from here and they have all been high
quality. This seems cheaper and easier than trying to cut and make your
own.

Hello All,
Total newbie here. I am sticking my toes in the discless pool for the
first time. Have a SQB Touch on the way and just replaced the old
wireless g WAP and 10/100 router with a shiny new Netgear WNDR3400 dual

I have a 2Tb Linkstation Pro NAS which I store all music on. Since
firmware version 1.40 (now 1.41) it runs Squeezebox server. However I
don't seem to be able to update the version of SB server in the
Linkstation firmware, it is currently running ver 7.5.1 - r30836 which
does not support Spotify (
Exactly. That the Touch -"will only talk to devices than can install and
run a copy of Squeeze Box Server"- is a basic characteristic of all
Squeezeboxes. Many NASs are 'too fussy' -- or more precisely, too
closed and/or too underpowered -- to run SBS. These NASs may be fine
for their intended use
It will work fine at both locations. You simply must go through the
Settings > Advanced > Network > Network Setup for each location.
Touch will remember your WiFi settings for the one WiFi location (no
need to re-enter encryption passphrase, etc..)

To be clear, the problem is the NAS, not the player.
If you put the SBS server program on an equally under powered (low
spec) computer (slow CPU and low memory) you will likely suffer the
same issues the under powered NAS d
Something is clearly wrong if a 192k MP3 sounds better than a properly
ripped lossless file.
Have you tried burning some of your WAV's to a CD and play them on your
CD player to see if the lackluster audio follows the file?
