Situation
Touch with 8GB SD card, all Flac, properly tagged, 1 album + cover.jpg
+ folder.jpg , per directory. (153 Tracks, 17 albums, 13 artists, 11
Genres, 11:24:02 playing time)
This setup had been pretty robust on the Touch. (e.g power up, wait a
bit, and ready to go, standalone)
Ran OK on
Any thoughts on what might have changed/failed ? Or anything else I can
do to add more information for this data point?
Could you get a hold of /var/log/messages right after you've tried to
start TinySBS? You might want to set the loglevel for the server to DEBUG
before doing so. Thanks!

So it's really unavailable also on the computer but it's cached locally
because you have played it before on the computer and thus can be played

My squeezebox touch was showing 7.5.4 when i started..while going to
the above link of older bin files can not decide which bin file to
download..So plz guide me to download the exact bin file..

For Touch you want the file that begins with 'fab4' and ends with
'.bin'. Which version (eg, r9408, r9471) you want is up to you,
depending on which version of SBS you're running.

I have a similar issue. While tagging some tracks in the genre Funk, I
made a typo and some tracks were tagged FUnk. I went back and fixed
the tags but the genre FUnk still shows up on the Touch even though
it reads as empty. Is there a way to delete this? I did a clear and

I only have the machine itself, and tested it with SB3 PSU and Boom
remote (both functional with my SB3). It's from a junk market. After I
plugged in the PSU, it doesn't turn on. The digital out LED does show
red light. The headphone is also tested to be powered up. But no

I had to revert back to 9468 myself. I guess I will try the nightly
updates till it works. I just have to assume since they are just beta

The problem is I haven't yet updated the database modules for TinySC, so it
won't run. Will try to do this today. Sorry, it was an oversight.

Try pushing and holding the reset button on the back for at least 15
seconds. This will initiate a factory reset (IF the device is working
at all)
If still nothing then it is probably really dead and needs to be
replaced.
If you really want to try debugging you need a scope and meter and

I'm trying to get my touch working from USB when I have no network
connected (going to demo some DACs and want to take the touch with me
to the dealer). Works fine when it's connected to my network and I
thought I could just switch off, unplug the network cable, switch back
on, insert USB stick,
Not 100% sure but from the Home menu either Settings then Advanced
Squeezebox Server or Advanced then Settings SBS you should get an
option to continue without a network.

option I have is 'Stop Squeezebox Server' (it also tells me that
'discovering files: Complete).
Under 'home' 'USB Device' I have 'squeezebox server', 'Browse for

You could try never firmware than what is delivered with 7.5.1 ?
There was a bug where the Touch did not work without an network
connection, just sticking a cable to a switch or router or something
provided network enough for it to work it did not need internet or
anything just network .
If you
wasn't keen on upgrading the firmware as I had major problems with 7.3
and rolled back. If need be I'll update and then roll back - I'll give
it a go.

Currently, v33033 doesn't solve it. Each nightly, I install, clean
up from the PreferencePane, then do a full rescan from the Settings
web interface.
