Is a 6 volt sealed lead acid battery dangerous to the 5v DC SB Touch? I
currently run a 12v dac from a 12v SLA battery and was thinking about
doing the same to the Touch. The 12v battery actually supplies

Interesting idea with the regulator closer, that got me thinking.
This problem is solved in another way elsewhere, in industrial
aplications.
5v supply for ttl encoders here we are talking maybe 30-100 meters of
cable and no desire to put the regulator closer.
Here we use a four wire system +,- an

Anyone else see this behaviour? It's a bit annoying as it wasn't always

It would be an interesting plugin idea to develop a gui for sox that
also worked on the fly, with menus on the Touch itself too.

I rolled back the firmware. Then did a succesfull wipe and rescan.
My conclusion: current released firmware does not work on my system. It
keeps scanning forever. Network access is broken.

You do this from the Touch itself this plugin actually creates new menus
on the Touch.
the biggest problem with Touch is the limited memory and cpu it has ,
only 128mB of ram.
so running the server on the Touch itself has limitations compared to
runing it elsewhere .
For example a 100 track play

I have just replaced a SB Classic with a new SB Touch. Everything works

Thanks for your suggestion!
I think the Touch should be able to handle this very basic CORE FEATURE

without a different server. This is my girlfriends biggest complaint,

No, the Touch's audio connections (optical, coax, analog, headphone) are

Audio inputs are USB and networking (ethernet or WiFi).

Hello,
I do not own a squeezebox and have a question I can't find an answer
for from searching this forum. It's probably a pretty simple question,
but I'm new to home theater and digital audio servers. Most of the
questions regarding DACs seem to focus on upgrading to an aftermarket
DAC to replac
Well it seems to be bit late for you but inguz will give you 3 band to

speakers are different distances from listener). All for free except
some time fiddling around. And that is without getting involved in
proper DRC which is the log
You could change the left button to Power using

You will still have the swipe to go back.
